We award National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) through a network of over 500 HAB Approved Centres. We also award a range of Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) in partnership with the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

NVQs and SVQs are the primary components of the requirements for the Modern Apprenticeship programme.
HAB awards several Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs) that provide an introduction to some of the key principles of customer facing operations. HAB offers generic VRQs and VRQs suitable for the Service Sector and the Hospitality Industry.

Many catering companies, hotels, pubs and other hospitality operations offer their staff NVQs and have been recognised as HAB Approved Centres.

There are over 250 colleges now offering full-time and part-time courses which lead to HAB qualifications
|
Individuals training for a career in the hospitality industry can achieve HAB qualifications as part of Modern Apprenticeships, which are government sponsored training programmes.
We also help many other types of organisations to deliver our awards, including schools, hospitals, the armed forces, the prison service and voluntary organisations.
