In light of recent studies that have shown that good school meals have a positive impact on pupils’ behaviour, new Government initiatives have been installed to ensure all food provided by local authorities meet national nutritional standards.
HAB can now offer a specifically designed one day course targeted at school caterers with a focus on enabling them to provide a healthier school meals service.
Learners will also be encouraged to develop key marketing and merchandising ideas to allow them to promote the healthier school meal choice in the school canteen.
An additional benefit of this Level 1 qualification is that it can be used as an entry point for candidates who may wish to enroll on further Hospitality and Catering NVQs.
